ECO Supports a Study for Safe Hazardous Waste Disposal for Pharmaceutical Companies
It is true that the pharmaceutical sector is not yet part of the sectors covered by ECO services, however, ECO is working to solve the environmental issues facing the Egyptian industries.
A study was prepared by ECO, tackled safe methods for disposal of hazardous substances. The methods include: recycling coating and packaging substances, re-mixing toxic medicament ingredients with others limiting their polluting impact such as cement and then the burial thereof in burial dispensaries. This burial method is useful in that it creates job opportunities for around 25 non-skilled labors, and three administrators. Moreover, primary and secondary packaging and coating substances may be recycled and used in the production of glass, plastic, aluminum, and paper, which will yield a great economic impact.
